PACER

Today we began the PACER.
Fitnessgram's aerobic capacity test.
We will utilize this in our final 6 weeks as one of our fitness component grades!
Work everyday during warm-ups (running & moving) and work hard on Wednesdays and your PACER score WILL increase...guaranteed!

These people "set the standard" in today's PE II PACER scores!!!

FINAL MILE

Today was the final Mile Run day!
If you missed it, get scheduled for I/E to make it up!
Many of you that have done all the workout Wednesdays had good improvement on this final mile. Regardless of how you did, if you gave your best effort you should be proud. Lots of factors go into improving, not always just your time.

You can receive up to 10 extra points on this final by writing (typing) a paragraph reflecting on your 6 week experience. Reflect on your improvement, how you felt running, where your fitness level is at, etc...

Grade Time!

This is the last week before the grading period ends!
If you have questions on your grade...READ your classes rules and expectations to find out how the grades work!

Make sure to check your grades on skyward...it you are missing points, you can get some of them made up by doing the physical challenge for the week or reflecting on the quote of the week. You can also make up days missed by coming to the wt. room for I/E.
REMEMBER: You must tell Coach Biolo you are doing it for make-up points ahead of time!!!)

WoW

Workout Wednesday...

Working for improvement (or maintaining your fitness level) is extremely important. What we have been doing over the course of the past weeks SHOULD be benefiting your fitness levels...BUT, you still need to give a great effort to see/feel those results!

Strength & Fitness did the Jonestown Sprint (15-10 of Burpee Pull Ups & Push Press)...
Three people completed the WOD (Workout of the Day) within the 3-minute time cap!
Logan Boettcher, Logan Wimme & Ethan Mercer ~ WAY TO GO!!!
All others gave a great effort at this first attempt at this!

PE II ~ Many of your mile times have improved or at least maintained an already good time that is within the Healthy Fitness Zone.

Another Week...

Not much utilization of the blog last week...
Nice work by some for the Weekly Physical Challenge!!!

GREAT WORK by the JV Volleyball Team!!! They did a nice job of 100 Push Ups together...even though the clock was a bit fast ;-)  Keep it up and keep working hard!

PE II ~ We are in softball this week...force outs, double plays, strikes and balls...everyone gets a hit!
Strength & Fitness ~ More body weight work for the week and we will begin on some of the basic lifts!

PE II ~
You can earn some bonus points (make-up points) each week if you post to the Weekly Physical Challenge or the Mental Muscle Builder.  You should also take a look at the Physical Activity Log Section of PE II. Another great way to gain some "make-up" points, rather than having to come down during I/E. Many of you are already doing enough physical activity outside of class...now it is a matter of keeping track of it!!!
